Making corrections to my research proposal, I came across a hurdle. Although I provided information about population and sampling, I did not fully comprehend the various types of sampling designs. Reading various books and articles proved futile, as I could not decide on a sample design. Discussing my woes with a lecturer, she advised me that since I'm doing mixed method research, I should have different sampling designs and not just one. Talking about my proposal and discussing issues, helped to pacify some of my woes. I hope that this blog will be a means to support fellow "researchers" and that the more experienced researchers will share their advise and guide as along.
